Did you happen to catch "This American Life" on public radio this weekend? There was a wonderful story about a group of public libraries in Michigan that put together a concert tour of libraries by a rock band called The High Strung to draw teens to their summer reading programs. The story was wildly upbeat and managed to stand a lot of stereotypes on their heads.
If your local public radio station doesn't carry "This American Life," you can either buy a CD of the show immediately for $13, or wait a few weeks and it will be available free through their archive. (To find the archive, click on this link, and then click on the "Complete Archives" link in the left column.)
