Time for a WorldCat.org Blog?

Well, is it? Would a separate blog for WorldCat.org be interesting, and useful? Alice and I have mused that there might be enough interest in being able to hear from a person (or more) involved in the day-to-day inner workings of WorldCat.org, and give anyone who cares to, a place to provide feedback and comments to the whole team of WorldCatters at OCLC. Given that WorldCat.org is an open Webby creature, does it make sense to have an open Webby place to talk?

Let us know! Is it time for WorldBlog?

{raises hand} Aye.

Two great potentials I can see if it was promoted from the worldcat.org home page, maybe with a feed of the latest post displayed:
1) You may well encourage people who just came for the great book searching to get into blogs
2)As a librarian, I'd love to find out what Jane Schmoe thought worldcat was and what it did. I think it would take a while for the average public user to post comments, but when they did, it would let me know whether I overestimated or underestimated users' comprehension.

I think the content could be very introductory, as presumably worldcat.org will open up a whole new barrel'o'users.

If you're looking for a home for user feedback as much as for insights from the developers...

Might a wiki be a better tool?

In either case (whether blog or wiki), I think it's a good idea.

I think a separate blog along the lines you describe would be great.

Concur on the blog. As a continuing discussion, that would appear to be the right format.

As long as it's not just another PR tool for OCLC.
